SERVER ENGINEER
POSTroller is a hot startup building the Internet's Video Advertising Network. The company helps a rapidly growing list of video sites monetize their high volume video traffic by connecting their users with branded and direct response advertisements before, after and within video streams. The company is run by Internet veterans, is supported by top-tier investors and advisors, and is already generating significant revenue. The company is based in San Francisco and was founded in January 2006.
We are looking for senior engineers to be the *first* non-founder engineers in our company. The roles will involve working with all of our systems, including anything from the high-performance ad server all the way up to the customer facing Ruby on Rails application.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Must be proficient with one or more systems language (C/C++ Boost)
Must be proficient with one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby)
Excellent understanding of Unix API/semantics, database systems, network programming
Excellent understanding of HTTP and the systems on the Internet supporting it
Has done web application development
Excellent software engineering skills and experience (methodologies, ie. test-driven)
SERIOUS BONUS POINTS:
Shipped an application that involved large data sets (search, optimization)

DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
POSTroller is an exciting startup building the Internet's Video Advertising Network. The company helps a rapidly growing list of video sites monetize their high volume video traffic by connecting their users with branded and direct response advertisements before, after and within video streams. The company is run by Internet veterans, is financed by top-tier investors and advisors, and is already generating significant revenue. The company is based in San Francisco and was founded in January 2006.
With consistent month over month growth in our publisher base, revenue and ad network relationships, POSTroller is well positioned to grow out our business development organization. This candidate will be responsible for building out our publisher base within tier one content sites and high volume tier two / tier three sites. We are looking for an aggressive and scrappy deal person who is just as comfortable closing with a well known CEO as with a foreign entrepreneur of a tiny company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the tactical implementation of company's BD strategies and identify new opportunities that are targeted to key categories of development. This person will report directly to the CEO.
We are open to hiring a more senior or more junior business development candidate as well. Ping us if you believe you fit our profile but are at a different level.

VICE PRESIDENT OF AD SALES
POSTroller is a hot startup building the Internet's Video Advertising Network. The company is run by Internet veterans, is supported by top-tier investors and advisors, and is already generating significant revenue. The company is based in San Francisco and was founded in January 2006.
With consistent month over month growth in our publisher base, revenue and ad network relationships, POSTroller is well positioned to grow out our advertising sales organization. This candidate will be responsible for building out and determining strategic direction of the POSTroller ad sales efforts, being an individual sales performer and being a member of the management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the tactical implementation of company sales strategies, and identify new opportunities that are targeted to key categories of development. This person will report directly to the CEO.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a minimum 5 years of direct sales management experience, 5 years of online sales experience, and have a proven sales track record. Candidate must also possess a working knowledge of all online metrics, technologies and research tools used in the marketplace. The candidate must have a current and extensive rolodex of key marketers and influential ad agency personnel. Branded advertising experience is preferred to performance advertising experience, but experience in both is ideal.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED:
Comprehensive knowledge of the Internet and traditional advertising. Documented experience at fulfilling strategic goals through effective tactical implementation. Successful training and personnel management experience is required. Demonstrated collaboration skills and strong communication skills mandatory. Ability to work across multiple cross functional units. Ability to understand and implement effective media plans and promotional elements that will meet clients marketing objectives.
